htc touch hd and google android

it’s only a matter of time. the underlying groundwork is almost identical to the dream (re proc, ram) perhaps there is a M$ battle with licensing of win mob. 6 on the initial touch hd but I doubt that; I think the G1 was released as a time-restraint product, they had to put something on the shelves and the dream fits the bill for pricing and availability (does anyone buy that thing?). with the touch hd soon to be avail, it is only mere coincidence that android is a solid fit. it’s a shame they couldn’t just be patient, but hey neither can we!

hopefully by q4 08 this will happen, but it may be closer to middle/end of q1 09, along with what I would assume to be a second gen software base. this would coincide perfectly with chrome’s official release and enough with this beta…

just in case..

a friendly reminder that much of florida the country is unregsitered to vote!

go barrack for finding an outlet for ads that pinpoints the demographic (found on pandora), who’s your SEO?

google in beta?

Yea no kidding, always in ‘beta’…everytime they release something new it appears to be way ahead of the pack in delectable features and custimizations, but recodes to their software seems to take quite a while; example first release gmail, chrome(, android?). Chrome even shipped without full java/plugin support and a serious lack of computer custos. Ofcourse it is tough to get perfecto in one fell swoop, but it’d have been nice to see it ship mostly compatible at release (it’s competitors do). Sure I’ve done a 99% hard push towards chrome (it’s fantastic for the most part) but i still have firefox around, and even keep ie updated (hey its useful for web dev!).

So where does this leave google? I think they are buried in their reality, building some of the craziest shit ever. I mean:

never was so self-explanitory!

With their opensourcing at maybe half of their code, probably more soon to be, it will be a bit of its own future’s concern (will new comers like android fade off to the somewhat leet like the linux corner always seems to sit, will it fall into the ‘apps’ lifestyle, will live up to the hope and dreams of what many of us have seemed to invision– a real future for the next level of software?).

I for one guess Google is it, and it probably answers all three of those questions! I think google realized it takes two (a massive company willing to push mountains, and throngs of community supporters willing to add to the force for a peice of the pie). In all reality, Google has already surpassed the largest of these staple corporations, it will just take ’til it’s recode to really lay smack.

ascend acoustics

after looking into dozens of options for speakers, including the diy market (something I have dabbled in plenty of times before) I finally came to the conclusion that ascend acoustics offers probably what is the best bet for your buck; and this is after almost a year of updated research. David over atAscend offers some of the finest products under the sun, simply top notch quality and are exactly what you expect them to be. i have to say it really is quiet amazing. from the anticipatory possibility of sub hz from the company to their amazing line of bookshelf models, many should be satisfied well beyond what they expect from any manufacturer within the same monetary presumption.

I will get back with more personal and subjective comments as soon as I get a chance… :D

but in the mean time, here is some shots!
